Privacy Policy

Lamina is a viewer for layered image files. It is designed to work entirely on your device.

What Lamina does with your files

  • Lamina reads only the files you explicitly open through the system file picker, or that you share to it from another app.
  • Files are read in order to display them. They are never uploaded and never sent anywhere.
  • An image leaves Lamina only when you ask for it: when you export one to a location you choose, or when you use Share and pick the receiving app yourself. Lamina never chooses a destination for you.
  • To show a “Recent files” list, Lamina stores on your device the file’s name, size, dimensions, layer count, the time you opened it, and a small preview image in the app’s private cache.
  • Layer states you save — which layers were switched on — are stored on your device, together with a reference to the document they belong to.
  • Removing an entry from the list, clearing this data in Settings, clearing the app’s storage, or uninstalling the app deletes all of the above.

Data collection

Lamina does not collect, store or share any personal data. It has no account system, no analytics, no crash reporting service, and it does not request network access.

Advertising

The current version shows no advertisements. If a future version introduces ads, this policy and the Google Play Data safety disclosure will be updated before that version is released, and the ad provider’s own privacy policy will apply to the ad content.

Links to other sites

The About screen contains links to the developer’s own pages. Opening one leaves Lamina and hands you to your browser; the site you arrive at has its own privacy policy, which Lamina has no control over.

Permissions

Lamina requests no runtime permissions. Access to individual files is granted by you through the Android document picker, and can be revoked by removing the file from Recent files.

Children

Lamina is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children. It collects nothing from anyone, of any age.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the “last updated” date above changes with it, and the updated policy is published at this address before the version it describes is released.
